School staff supporting student leaders

Help student leaders put their learning into practice.

Staff Champions · A Greatness Project short course

A course for school-appointed staff who support student leadership training. They learn to guide discussions, protect private reflection and keep the programme working between external sessions.

What participants learn

  • Guide useful student discussions within a clear role.
  • Support private reflection without reading students’ journals.
  • Plan follow-up activities, responsibilities and staff support.

WHY THIS COURSE

Practise before
the pressure rises.

Student leadership training needs follow-through at school. This course prepares appointed staff to support that practice, work within safeguarding procedures and organise a realistic school timetable. The level of support and any permission to deliver programme components are agreed with the school.

SITUATIONS PARTICIPANTS WORK THROUGH

01Protecting student privacy while following safeguarding duties.

02Facilitating a difficult conversation without drifting into counselling.

03Adapting delivery to the calendar without losing the formation method.

WHAT PARTICIPANTS TAKE AWAY

Tools and actions
to use afterwards.

  • A guided workshop and private reflection tools.
  • An agreed school delivery plan and school-approved dialogue practice.
  • Assisted practice and feedback in Formation.
  • A continuity plan and governed certification pathway in Stewardship.
